Elle yarns made a bug impact by staging several fashion shows a day at the knitting and stitching show, for the second year
Knitters were treated to alively catwalk display of garments
knitted in a variety of yarns from Elle. These yarns, imported to
Britain from sunny South Africa, offer versatility and durability at
one end of the scale, luxury and super soft delicacy at the other:
The
hunky, tanned male models drew cheers from the schoolgirls in teh
corowd each time they appeared, while the girls twirled professionally
and bestowed a special smile. Having been plucked from the lical South
African township, one model, Cindy, was escorted to the airport by
almost the entire population of the township. By training and employing
lical people as knitters, teachers and models, Saprotex, the yarn
company that owns Elle Yarns, is tackling local poverty constructively.
In case you missed the fashion show, here are some of the highlights!
