Skill level: Very Easy

Shown in size Skirt shown in #6363 Midnight.

SIZES

Directions are for women’s size Small. Changes for sizes Medium, Large and X Large are in parentheses.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Bust - 40(44-48-54)”.
Length - 27-1/2(28-28-1/2-29)”.

MATERIALS
BERROCO CHINCHILLA COLORS (50 grs), 11(11-12-13) balls #5815 Persian Carpet (A).
BERROCO MOHAIR CLASSIC HEATHER (43 grs), 9(9-10-11) balls #A6404 (B).
BERROCO KOALA (50grs), 2 balls #E363 Midnight (C).
Straight knitting needles, sizes 8 and 10 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
6 1" buttons.

GAUGE
3 sts = 1"; 5 rows = 1" in St st with A and B worked tog.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

NOTE 1
A and B are worked tog throughout.

NOTE 2
When collar and cuffs fold back, the St st side will be showing.

BACK
With smaller needles, using A and B held tog, cast on 60(66-72-82) sts. Work in k 1, p 1 ribbing for 1". Change to larger needles and work even in St st until piece measures 19" from beg, end on WS. Mark beg and end of last row for beg of armholes. Work even until armholes measure 8-1/2(9-9-1/2-10)”, end on WS. Bind off all sts.

LEFT FRONT
With smaller needles, using A and B held tog, cast on 28(32-34-38) sts. Work in k 1, p 1 ribbing for 1". Change to larger needles and work even in St st until piece measures 19" from beg, end on WS. Mark end of last row for beg of armhole. Work even until armhole measures 6(6-1/2-7-7-1/2)”, end on RS.
Shape Neck: Bind off 5 sts at beg of the next row, then dec 1 st at neck edge every RS row 4 times. Work even on 19(23-25-29) sts until armhole measures 8-1/2(9-9-1/2-10)”, end on WS. Bind off all sts for shoulder.

RIGHT FRONT

Work to correspond to left front, reversing all shaping.

SLEEVES
With smaller needles, using C, cast on 26 sts. Work in Reverse St st for 3-1/2”, end on WS. Change to larger needles and A and B held tog. K the next row, inc 6 sts evenly spaced across - 32 sts. Beg with a p row, work in St st, inc 1 st each side every 6th row 0(2-10-14) times, then every 8th row 8(9-3-0) times, then every 10th row 2(0-0-0) times. Work even on 52(54-58-60) sts until sleeve measures 21" from beg, end on WS. Bind off all sts.

FINISHING
Left Frontband: With RS facing, using smaller needles and A and B held tog, pick up and k 74(76-78-80) sts along left front edge. Work even in k 1, p 1 ribbing for 1-1/2”, end on WS. Bind off all sts in ribbing.
Right Frontband: Work same as for left frontband for -1/2”, end onWS.
Buttonholes: Work 4(2-3-4) sts in ribbing, * k 2 tog, yo, work 11(12-12-12) sts in ribbing, rep from * 4 times more, k 2 tog, yo, work in ribbing to end. Complete same as for left frontband.
Steam pieces lightly (See instructions on page 1). Sew shoulder seams.
Collar: With RS facing, using smaller needles and C, beg at front edge of right frontband, pick up and k 10(10-11-11) sts along right front neck edge, 14(14-15-15) sts along back neck edge, then 10(10-11-11) sts along left front neck edge - 34(34-37-37) sts. Beg with a k row, work in St st, inc 1 st each end every 4th row 3 times - 40(40-43-43) sts. Work even for 3-1/2”, end on WS. Dec 1 st at beg of the next 4 rows. Bind off remaining 36(36-39-39) sts loosely.
Sew in sleeves. Sew side and sleeve seams, reversing seams over sleeve cuffs. Fold back cuffs 3-1/2”. Sew on buttons.
